Get ready to bookmark August 2025 on your travel calendar, Royal Caribbean’s next Icon-class marvel, Star of the Seas, is rolling out a host of fresh features guaranteed to dazzle every kind of cruiser. Much of the ship’s blueprint mirrors its twin, Icon of the Seas, but this new vessel stakes its own claim with a lineup of one-of-a-kind shows and flavors that’ll keep you entertained around the clock.

Time-travel thrills take center stage as the Broadway smash “Back to the Future: The Musical” makes its high-seas premiere aboard Star of the Seas. Expect neon flair, classic rock anthems, and a few signature Royal Caribbean curveballs in the Royal Theater, and that’s just the opening act. Following close behind is “Create,” an original production spotlighting KRE-8, a robot on a soul-searching journey through song, dance, and stunning visuals.

Over at the AquaTheater, families can dive into the swashbuckling spectacle “Mermaids & Pirates,” blending athletic diving, artistic swimming, and theatrical flair into an unforgettable seaside saga. And don’t miss “Torque,” a water-borne adrenaline rush with synchronized swimmers, dancers, slackliners, and top-tier tech weaving together to make waves both literally and figuratively. For a cool-down, head to Absolute Zero, the ship’s ice arena, where “SOL”, powered by the cruise line’s largest ice-skating ensemble yet, promises to chill and thrill in equal measure.

When the bell rings for dinner, Star of the Seas turns up the flavor. Lincoln Park Supper Club, nestled in the Central Park neighborhood, channels 1930s Chicago glamour with live jazz, crafted cocktails, and multi-course menus inspired by legendary Windy City hotspots like Chez Paree and The Pump Room. Craving street-food vibes? The AquaDome Market food hall serves up five stalls, three of which are totally new, featuring pulled pork and brisket, Southeast Asian classics such as pad Thai and beef panang, plus South American delights like empanadas and arepas.

Of course, fan-favorite staples won’t be left ashore. You’ll still find Chops Grille’s prime steaks, Izumi’s sushi and hibachi artistry, the social buzz of Celebration Table, The Attic’s speakeasy chic, plus Casino Royale, Dueling Pianos, and the ever-reliable Windjammer buffet all onboard.

Star of the Seas charts its maiden voyage on August 20, 2025, sailing a quick three-night loop from Port Canaveral to Perfect Day at CocoCay. After that, the new flagship sets course for weekly seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean adventures starting August 31, giving travelers a perfect blend of new thrills and tropical sunshine.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, foodie, or just in it for the Insta-moments, Star of the Seas promises a vacation that shines brighter than any port of call. Pack your bags, and your sense of wonder, because a whole new horizon of cruise fun awaits!
