Disneyland isn’t just sprinkling pixie dust, they’re breaking ground. The House of Mouse just dropped some big news about upcoming changes that’ll reshape how guests arrive, park, and play at the California resort. Spoiler: it’s more than just adding a few new churro carts.
The Parking Problem Gets a Magic Fix
Let’s start with the grown-up stuff. If you’ve ever circled Disneyland like a stressed-out vulture looking for a spot, help is on the horizon. A brand-new 6,000-space parking structure is headed to the east side of the resort, replacing part of the Manchester cast member lot. It’s getting the full glow-up: dedicated rideshare zones, security screening, and direct access from Disney Way. Translation? Less time in traffic, more time hitting Space Mountain.
And yes, there’s a pedestrian bridge coming too. It’ll stretch over Harbor Boulevard and lead straight into a reimagined entrance esplanade. More streamlined, less shuffle. You’ll thank it with your feet.
This Is the Warm-Up Act
The new parking setup is just the beginning. Disney is laying the groundwork, literally, for what’s next. And what’s next? Two all-new Avengers Campus attractions, a full-on Coco ride, and a future Avatar area that promises more glow than a rave in Pandora.
Construction on the parking and arrival experience kicks off in Fall 2026. So if you’re planning ahead, maybe pencil in a trip for 2028 when all the cool stuff goes live.

Coco Comes to Life
Grab your guitar and your spirit guide, Miguel and the land of the dead are headed to Disney California Adventure. The upcoming Coco attraction will land near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, transforming some backstage areas into something far more colorful. Work begins this fall, and we’re betting it’ll be the kind of ride that gets its own merch wall by opening week.

Pandora is Coming, But Monsters Gotta Move
Disney also confirmed that part of the Hollywood Backlot is being prepped for an Avatar experience. This one’s still early in the pipeline, but we do know it’s replacing Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! which will officially check out in early 2026. Sorry, Sulley, it’s not personal, it’s Pandora.
If you thought Disneyland was running out of room or ideas, think again. These expansions mean bigger lands, bolder stories, and better crowd control (hopefully). It’s Disney dreaming with a plan, and it’s one worth watching.
Stay tuned to Orvani™ and we’ll keep the magic updates coming, minus the corporate fluff.
